HADUKEN Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 My dog had a stroke on saturday, and before hand he had an ear infection, the stroke made this worse and gave it an inflamed balance organ. Vet said it'd be 1-2 weeks before It can walk properly again without flopping over.

He's not going through any pain, we just need to bring food and water etc to him.. And help him get up to go outside for the toilet intill he's well again.
Whorin_Hero Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Very cute! just take good care of him and he'll be fine :)

But the vet also said, these things have a tendancy happening more then once in dogs. if it happens once, there's a very good chance its happening again according to him.
Jim Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Are you sure it's a stroke? It could be ear mites. If you dog was falling over due to loss of balance then it probably is ear mites. It sounds exactly like what happend with my cat a few months back. A friend of mine had a dog that had a stroke, he said it was shaking like crazy on the floor and lost control of its bowels. :/
sdsdsd Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 If it gets epilepsy try a pill, they give a decent high.
