For me the game died far back in the day. I tried adapting and probably kind of did eventhough I am not up to date with the new armours and weapons but yea... If now really drastic changes come to the game it is very likely that I will never return.

In my entire life I never played WoW but it seems RuneScape is becoming very very similiar

Just read the article. It sounds like complete shit: "One of the biggest Updates of RuneScape ever", "Will define the game RuneScape completly new", fuck this.

From Jagex point of view I have some understanding.. Ofcourse people play this game and like it the way it is and don't like changes. But if they never changed the game since 2006? Nobody would start playing RuneScape cause it could not compete to other online games. Jagex is forced to keep updating it.

I guess the good thing is the memories and who knows? Maybe we will all enjoy the update :-)

Jagex has stated it will be the biggest update in runescape's history.

RuneScape HD was a big update... and this one is the "biggest" i can see them turning this like essentially wow.. changing camera angles etc... o.O it'll be exciting i've always wanted to play wow but never wanted to learn it.. now ill just own with rs ;)

They're going to put it into beta you know, and if they get that much negative feedback about the system I very highly doubt they will put it into their game. They're about money at the moment, and the game is working for the majority of people, they're going to beta test and see what happens but let's boycott it.
