had a few things bubbling around in my head for a while so gonna get em out here see what u guys think

1. Balance on the bar, so lets say im deadlifting, got one 20kg plate on each side (60kg), and i wanna go up to 100kg, but my gym only has one 10kg plate left, so i put a 10kg plate on one side and two 5kg plates on the other. Might sound a bit retarded but w/e, does this play any negative effect on balance? like the side with the 5kgs on is taking up more space, the 10kg isn't but its heavier. tried to explain that as well as i could.

2. Bulking. when it comes to bulking, how fast should i aim to be gaining weight at, i've been putting on like 5-6oz/daily recently, yesterday i was 180.6 and today im 181.4 (weighing first thing in the morning everyday, im 5"10, 17 y/o, 3k cals min/day), just seemed a bit steep, am i gaining too fast or is this normal?

damnit there were more but my minds gone blank, will return later and edit em in if i remember.

Edit:

3. Going on holiday in August to the south of france, wanna go there with like sub 20% bf atleast, when would be the best time to start cutting? a month prior? 2?

1. Yeh its physics, its called moments. Your putting more distance from the pivot point (your hands) with more weight. Hence why you grip the bar in the middle, and not to the side. An extra 5kg (which is like what 5cm thick) wont make a noticeable difference.

2. Aim for a lbs of muscle a week (or month) < could be completely wrong about this. Just that figure comes to mind. Obviously you cant tell how much PURE MUSCLE you have put on, but find out what your calorie surpless (fail spelling) should be, by reading http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=121703981

It looks confusing but it isnt. Just make sure you read it through and understand it

question 1 - lol dont worry about it.

question 2 - if ur on a lean bulk of roughly 400-600 calories you will gain minimal fat (still some). just count cals/macros properly and shouldn't be a problem.

question 3 - obviously i need to know ur current bf% to give a rough estimate of how many months. but at the high bodyfat levels you gain easily lose 3lb a week.

1. i allways use symetrical plates, cause of the gravity thing and its just an ocd thing.

2. 1lb a week gaining is pretty much optimal/maximal withou retarded fat gains, take it from someone who has actually gained 3lb a week b4.

3. at ur current bodyfat lets say its 20% just for this example, ur 180lb, therefore 1% of ur bodyweight is 1.8lb, u gonna lose water and shit but you should calculate ur cals to lose probably 2lb a week, so 1% bf a week, i would say 8-10 weeks prep for this holiday.. but srs be clever on your bulk or youll turn into a fat cunt. gl
