Had to happen to me...

So on tuesday i started a 3 day assesment course for my new job at a place called pluss in pottington industrial estate.

At pluss they work with people to get them into permenant work along with the job center, however they also have a factory there which makes beds which go on to sell for £16,000 and more, the most expensive one sold was arond £60,000. I was fortunate enough to get a job in this factory for up to 6months while I continued looking for work elsewhere.

Yesterday I went in and started work again, 30mins before work finished I was shown how to use a machine which punches bugle tee nuts into a peice of wood.

And on my very first attepmt at it I managed to get my left ring finger inbetween the wood and the nut -.-' This crushed the end of my finger and attached it to the peice of wood.

I got driven to hospital where I sat in A and E for bout 25mins with a peice of wood attached to my crushed finger before I got treated.

got a bunch of injections of painkillers to stop the pain but all they did was numb my finger but still leave feeling in the end of it and then feeling would come back to my finger and the pain would get worse :L ended up getting 2 morphine drips which made me feel great but only stopped the pain for like 5 minutes :L.

In the end i had to go into theatre to get the nut removed from my finger because they couldnt remove it in the storage room ( yeah they kept me in a storage room that had a bed in it -.-')

took about 4 and a half for me to get in and out of hospital :L

One up side to this is, aslong as I still want to go back is that I do have a job there now :P The assesment days were 3 days unpaid work to see if I could do/wanted the job.

Still.. got to go fracture clinic tomorrow and take antibiotics and keep my hand raised untill then.

So ima be scaping with one hand ;D + minimum wage manual labour

Different parts to the job :p First day I spent the day building bedframes.

Majority of second day I was working a computerised hole drilling machine.

Then I started using a machine which punches tee nuts into wood, then I fucked up :L.
