Prayer lag?

So I just attempted fight caves for the first time in a long time. I had no problems until I got to Jad. For some reason, my prayers have about a 1 second delay when I click on them. I was on a world with 48 ping and was playing on minimum graphics with a maximum width window.

My prayers have been slow and I never really thought about it until I did Jad; the magic prayer was on fine but the ranged always popped up when the rocks appeared and I got hit. Also, my connection has been solid.

Any suggestions? Or is this a Runescape issue?

TL:DR My prayers take a while to turn on and i'm looking for suggestions other than click faster
