You start a storyline, there's a red herring and you want to know what happens next because it leaves you guessing, you then proceed to do the next quest, you get into it. You start to want to know the other storylines. Surprisingly, the majority of the storylines, I find, have tied together, and I believe the next Grandmaster quest will involve everything.
