DeltaPapa Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I know some of you guys are doing this, and just a few questions. Is it better then the usual eat every 3 hours or so? (or does it differ from person to person) Whats your workouts like? Are you finding your cut is more efficient and losing more? I know people like TMW praise it and are living by it, but why is it so good? Cheers
Reevesy Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 i think it goes against everything lol, eat shit loads before bed and nothing during day, i dont even get it.
DeltaPapa Posted July 16, 2012 Author Posted July 16, 2012 i think it goes against everything lol, eat shit loads before bed and nothing during day, i dont even get it. Yeh thats what i mean lol. Ive always been told, dont eat, the food you do it will get stored as fat. Fuck knows. All the videos on Youtube about it are like 25-60mins long ffs
Rihana Pm Me Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 For the time I've been using it to cut its been pretty good. I don't eat until about 2-3 pm and stop 3 hours before im planning to go to bed (10 pm) so around 7pm. As long as i have enough carbs before lifting, (70g works for me) haven't seen any changes in energy/lifts. Been losing more weight doing this than the regular method. Was worried I was losing muscle too but i guess ill keep at it a little longer since none of my lifts have dropped. Wouldn't recommend it unless you have something to do for most of the beginning of the day or else you just fucking sit around looking at the fridge.
DeltaPapa Posted July 16, 2012 Author Posted July 16, 2012 So in the 3 hours gap you eat all your macros?
Reevesy Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 So in the 3 hours gap you eat all your macros? macros r fucking gay, do u see bodybuilders eating 245g carbs and 122g of fat for their bb show preps? are you talking about fitness? shut up and go away u post count phaggot

Adam|Spakka Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 (edited) I've been fasting for past month now, fasting from around midnight till 6/7pm the next day, 7 days a week. No calories at all throughout the day, no milk, nothing, just water. Main reason i reckon it works for me is because i work in a busy kitchen, eating small meals every couple of hours never would've worked for me since i barely get breaks and work from 9/10am till 6/7pm. When i would try cutting on a normal calorie deficit diet i would just make myself random shit to eat (small pizza with fatty sauce/cheese) every once in a while (which im not even allowed to do anyways), and just gobble it down whilst i was working. Obvo that just lead to failure. With IF i feel like it makes everything easier as i'm not allowed to eat during the day then when i get back from work i get to eat a few big meals, which is much more satisfying that eating smaller meals throughout the day and feeling hungry all the time. As for hunger pangs with IF i only really noticed them the first few days fasting, after that your body adjusts and it's a lot easier, just gotta drink plenty of water. What i have noticed with fasting is how much my relationship to food has changed, these days i just eat to get my daily macronutrient requirements and no longer have any temptations to eat anything i shouldn't. As for fasted workouts, i usually work out early in the morning on an empty stomach and feel fine, sometimes even better than i do with food in me. Edited July 16, 2012 by Adam|Spakka
DeltaPapa Posted July 16, 2012 Author Posted July 16, 2012 Was waiting for you to post lol as i knew you were doing it. Hmm.. il start it tomorrow and see how i get on. So to clarify: Midnight -> 6/7pm NO EATING 6/7pm -> Midnight EAT ? and in the EATing stage, i would eat all my 2000 calories?
Adam|Spakka Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Yes. I'm on 2.5k cals a day but rarely get that much in unless im going out for a meal or something. Usually have a big meal (1-1.5k cals) when i get in, chill for a bit, maybe go to gym then have a decent amount of protein before bed.
Tango_Oscar Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 my fuckin nan looks bigger than him. dunno why ud do IF, if your eating lower than your maintenance cals, and having low fat/carbs high protein spread through the day, high reps and cardio. if your not losing weight your doing summat wrong. IF goes against everything in bodybuilding.

Tris Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 I'm not a fan of the concepts of IF but it has been proven to give good results. If you are going ahead with this surely a better idea would be say no eating between 7pm-1pm and then eating between 1pm-7pm. This way you can have dinner at say 7, go to sleep at 11-12 and then go without eating in the morning when you wake up until 1pm, have lunch then go to the gym, have a post workout meal and then dinner later; fitting your macros in that time period. I dunno just an idea, seems more logical then starving yourself until the evening.
