Dan. Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 how do you get on a college baseball team? do you have to be drafted by the coach? or just sign up and try out and make the team if your good enough?
Ikz Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I'd assume you would have to try out, I doubt there's a representative watching every team to suggest you to a coach to draft you.
IMAGIANTDILDO Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 im guessing if u get a scholarship for baseball the coach will notice that as well
Steal Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 if you get a scholarship you're on the team... go ask the coach or his office. usually they scout all of their players before though
6 9i Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 few questions first. What year of high school are you in? Are you looking for a D1? D2? D3? Community? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I am a junior in high school and being recruited by 4 different universitys (D1). how? showcases and outside season tournaments with traveling teams. in order to be on a college team is to be scouted as a young high school player, become a prospect, become a recruit then sign to the school. If you're trying to play on a D1 college school and you haven't been recruited by them, your chances of playing with them is close to none. unless your a prodigy and just never played. If you're looking to play for a D2 school, usually they take the kids who are above average and can get a scholarship to their school with a school scholarship, not an atheletic scholarship. Now if you're looking to play for a Community College, and you've played a bit of ball and you've played baseball for your high school then you have your best bet playing with them.
