When Making a Pure...

Hello everybody,

I am currently in the process of making my first 1 defense strength pure and I have run into an issue that I could not find an answer to via searching. I have a pure with the following stats...

HP: 70

Attack: 60

Strength: 80

Defense: 1

Range: 70

Magic: 70

Prayer: 13

I am positive that I will get 52 prayer on this account at one point or another; however that is not my concern. My concern is when should I raise my pures prayer to this level. I have heard numerous people say you can ruin an account by getting high prayer too early, why is this? Do you think I might as well raise my pures prayer level now since I will be getting it eventually? Or do you think I should wait until I have higher stats?

My thoughts are that if I get 52 prayer now that will allow me to train my range much more efficiently via chinning at ape toll and also allow me to train my strength at the bandit camp which would be a nice change from rock crabs/soul wars. It will also make Desert Treasure a million times easier.

Basically I am asking those of you who own a pure with 52 prayer "when did you raise your pures prayer to 52 and why did you did do it that way?"

I figure FOE is home to many very successful pure accounts so what better place to ask a pure related question than here.

tbh, runescape pking is d3d. Just get 35 def turm and you dont have to worry about any of that

I think what you should do is get 45 prayer atm and see if you like it. 52 prayer would be aroung 75+ combat but 45 is good to get around 60+ imo

and if you like to pk dont get turm lol turm is just good for pk trips and clan wars on 30/35 def. you will get raped by almost any zerker

Most of our 1 def people have 77 prayer for the dg prayers.

Even turmoilers have atleast rigour

I got 52 prayer on my lilguy through an accident. I left prayer doors on on my dung bot.

Just get it right away, and raise your strength a little bit and it will work out fine

Tbh, I was a level 70 with 13 prayer - and when I joined a clan it sucked bigtime. I loved edge pking by myself, but when it came to wars or preps I always would get fucked up. That's not the issue you're having though, if you're looking into joining a clan, 52 prayer or higher would help alot. 52 prayer can also be useful when you go pking, smite a pair of claws or something. Make sure you quest an anchor before you level your prayer though :P

1. Get 52 pray when ur like combat level is like 65-70.

2. Train your magic bursting rock lobsters and gathering charms until u get 57 summoning and 94 magic.

3. there is a way to safe spot while chinning but it's hard but chin ur way up to 90+range

4. Camp bandits 24/7 for the str lvls

5. join Final ownage elite

make sure you do all the prayer quests before leveling your prayer with bones.

Quests including:

1. Great Brain Robbery

2. Restless Ghost

3. Mountain Daughter

4. Animal Magnetism

5. Priest in Peril

after you do those quests you can level prayer with an altar. But make sure you stop as soon as you get 52. So you have some extra experience to get if there is another random prayer quest you want to do such as Ghost Ahoy.
