(Computer problems. If you're bad like me in stuff as this, just already quit here and dont waste ur time reading further, np)

- Um someday when i started my computer it showed the usually black screen, but this time it said something with "ACHI BOOT FAILED" or similiar.

- I tried a lot of things but as i couldn't get it to either "repear the system" or start up i installed a new windows. (vista).

- It worked and i thought everything was fine.... but

- My files weren't there, all though they were in a folder called "windows.old". (It makes sense tho since i installed a new version i guess, that i couldn't open any of the files.)

- What i tried do then was "recover/remove" the files into the new windows. I did it by using this site: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971760 And now i thought everything was in the order, but... I couldn't open it up it still came with the error boot thing.

I putted the Recovery CD in and after a couple messings around by repear/restart i have 2 options to boot:

Windows Vista or Windows Vista.

After messing around again i found out that it is the second windows system which is the one with my files. My problems is now I cant Download or Save files it will just give me an error that it cant do it. Plus neither i cant start the computer without the Recovery CD disk or w/o restarting a couple times/repear the system so i get into the menu with the two selceted windows systems.

-Any way to make me have 1 system with my files and being able to download/save things and starting the computer up without booting errors etc?

Hope u can help a 4nr out pls

1) You need to get rid of vista it is the worst thing your computer can have

2) Did you have any backups? As in system restore before you tried loading anything your computer can be rebooted back too, sometimes it is by default and your computer will do it when you do updates.
