So i would say i've been working out for 2 months, but i had to stop for 3 weeks because of illness and christmas... back into it now;

Given up daily drinking trying to make it more like once every 2/3 weeks, and not buying fags anymore but i will accept free ones... that aside im trying to "Improve", not become a huge weight lifter, just put on a bit of weight and tone what ive got.

I started around... (this may be a pound/pound and a half out) 131, and im now something like 137 pounds (light i know, it was mainly dietary and ive sorted out my diet nicely, basically doubled my consumption and trying to eat as healthily as possible)

My problem is dis... Can't afford Gym membership(currently) so I have to work out at home, i've found exercises which i can do (i have a 17KG set of dumbbells, which works nicely to me BECAUSE i have 3 metal pins in my left wrist, which means i can't lift heavy, or put too much weight whatsoever(for a good 3-4months of training), no contact sports etc. I currently just do high reps of dumbbell exercises, along with situps pushups and pullups...what would you advise (to those that know, and have experience in anything like this) to do to maximise my early gains, considering my wrist issue?

I've probably phrased that quite badly, but i hope you get the jist... can't put much strain on my left wrist, need some GOOD alternatives to heavy lifting for decent equivalent to "bulking" (although im just trying to tone and gain weight atmo)

best way to gain muscles is doing heavy weights whit low reps but you can't do that atm because of your wrist

so just let your wrist heal for now and keep doing more cardio shit, intesive workouts

Ask your grandad he's fucking loaded.

"and not buying fags anymore but i will accept free ones..."

with that mindset you will never reach your capabilities family

you cant do much in your home unless you invest some money for decent home gym equipment but u dont really need much just take advantage of your own weight, get a pull up bar and if u cant even do one pull up with good form use a chair and in no time you will be doing one and go from there, also pushups hits many muscle groups.

get some dumb bells for training arms and get a ruck sack with sand for other things like squats and dead lifts, cardio can be done anywhere.

listen to my advice and your sorted bro

it is "Healed" but the pins will always be there, can't do "heavy" lifting yet due to lack of muscle in the arm and extra weakness, cardio isnt my problem

im not trying to become god so smoking occasionally is ok!:)

i got dumbbells and can do 22 pullups in good form but by 16-17 my left wrist fucking hurts, got banisters which i put this sheet on for grip and can do pullups there, its perfect

Cardio isnt the problem i walk/cycle literally everywhere and have done for a good 6/7 years, would say i do 1-2 hours walking per day or 45 minutes cycling

no i did not say dont smoke i said your attitude is wrong its as if you dont trust yourself if you buy your smokes.

buy your own fags just smoke occasionally, it will teach you to not eat all the shit foods that are in your house even though you are craving it

trust yourself and you will see how your life turns around

good/better things to do than dumbbells exercises to gain weight/muscle but not get "huge", with a snapped wrist..

If you can do 20+ pull ups then ur in decent shape. I can't see anyway to gain weight without looking imporportioned. Maybe stick to cardio and core excercises until your wrist is capable of lifting more. Ask tris he seems pretty knowledgeable about this type of stuff.

you contradict yourself.

you say you cant lift big because you have pins / injury to your wrist.

then go on to say cant lift big because the wrist is healed but no muscle there...

1) your wrist muscle is hardly the be all and end all and doesnt affect several exercises you can do. At most its for your stability.

2) this is just a case of man the fuck up and build it up then. Stop accepting it as a given you cant do big weight and just do them. Build it slow and gradual but none the less build it.

Doing high rep pussy work out when you weigh 3 stone wet through aint going to do shit.

Also eat more... sound like you ney sin a proper meal.

Funny, made a similar topic other day. I'm rehabbing an injury in the same wrist that you got issues with, but different situations at the same time. Lemme know if you find anything particularly good that limits wrist strain and movement.

Snap your arm literally in half completely cracking the bone in 8 places throughout the wrist, have the bone reset like that for a week, then have to have the arm rebroken in 8 places and then have metal pins put in, the bone is weak, the muscle, because of the bone, isnt as strong as the right arm. I can't lift heavy, because of the weak bone, and it isnt helped by the lack of muscle compared to the right arm.

When i said healed, i referred to the scar that is there from the incision, there are no external injuries visible.

you ignored the question to try and flame me when you're a fat fuck pls sir when you have control come back

its hard to find any good exercises online for wrists which are fucked... gone through 20+ topics but im incapable of most, then the few which do work are just not going to change anything.

Forearm curls with low weights are one of the few things my wrist like doing but that just isnt going to gain muscle

you can actually do alot of work outs with dumbells you can excercise every muscle group apart from your back i believe ive been using 15 kg on each dumbell for a while now and see some decent muscles gains especially in my shoulders aim for whatever weight you struggle to do 12 reps with dont listen to anyone else if your pushing yourself to YOUR limits you will see gains

ive just brought weight kits to take each dumbell to 30 kg which is equal to 60 kg of weights on a barbell

Just wondering, will your wrist ever fully heal?

If not, don't bother working out. Doing "high rep pussy shit" isn't going to achieve anything

If it will eventually heal, put off working out until it does, and then when it heals, go HAM

ere you fucking cretin, stop getting a hard on and calm down.

You actually just explained properly the problem which you failed to do in your first few posts. I was not flaming, i was just going off what you told us and what the hell you were asking or what i thought you were trying to ask.

I am not questioning the severity of your injury from fisting your arse i believe it is true and i dont care if it isnt, it was simply the fact of when somebody asked if it was healed you said yes which to me meant there was not an issue with the injury just an issue with strength.

Therefore as i said its about building the strength up and nothing more and nothing less, something doing little weights for many reps and no amount of sit ups and pull ups will change or do.

You dont weigh fuck all and you dont lift fuck all, its not a flame its an accurate observation if it was not true you would not be here posting this right now so instead of being butthurt about it deal with it and get on with it. You can call me fat but hey... i lift decent weight and im content with how i look and what i do as you dont see me posting asking for help and advice to improve myself lol.

You honestly say you wanna put on some size and some strength gains but you dont even go to a gym which isnt the end of the world but then with limited to some dumbells which dont go to any great weight you are also saying you have a weak bone which if its a bone issue then it isnt just going to go away. Doing pull ups wont improve you any further, if you are doing 20 with ease then you need to be doing weighted pull ups now for a start if you wanna build muscle signficantly by doing them.

Doing high reps with a low weight dumbell is simply not going to get you what you want whether you like that blunt truth or not.

So unless you can invest in some wrist straps which actually work and/or make a difference for you i would say you wont be putting on any size or gains any time soon.

I also highly doubt you eat anywhere near the right food or right amount of it to put on size and gains, if you cant afford the gym then you probably cant afford the rest of it.

Dont ask for advice you dont want to hear little boy.

better let that wrist heal 1st

you can train your weaker wrist with low weights and certain exercises so it will heal faster, only 2-4 kgs and longer reps for 1-2 month and should be good

i do have experience in having broken arm for 7 weeks and then doc made me instructions to strengthen up my left arm
