Anthony Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 How have you found out about FOE originally? i used to be in foe, im still on the associate ML for some reason lol Why do you want "GFX Artist" rank on FOE boards? I feel like i can give people advice for starting out like i did and help with common problems, being active and helping others, and also improving my own skills Are you associated with any other clans/communities? no i am not, i am still on the associate ML for Foe though Do you check FOE forums on regular basis? yes, i post about everyday :) Are you willing to take part in SOTWs? Yes i am 3 (latest) examples of work I'll be making more during the application process
Connor|New Recruits Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Sorry but mate, you need to practice first.
d72 Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Yeah man, honestly there's not really much done to your exmaples from what I can see besides the cropping and pasting of pictures at different opacity with a random text applied. And if there is, there's not much work done to them to a visible degree :P Right now what I recommend for you to do is find a few tutorials and a few brushes, and start finding a more advanced technique before applying for gfx artist. Two sites that will become your friends if you take my advice: www.gamerenders.com www.deviantart.com Gamerenders has a lot of really great tutorials that I myself even reference to from time to time, and DeviantArt will be where you'll find your brushes and other Photoshop resources. So please, don't be discouraged when I say no. Keep on practicing! :)
