You made the right play. In ranked 5's. But in SoloQ never expect anything from your team. (I still make this mistake even being plat)

 

You should of let the lane auto push through minions instead and let one of them go bot.

 

To do this, kill all the caster minions in wave. (Not the melee, leave them alone and let them live)!!)
