not only that but, pre-season is important to set yourself with a decent elo before next season reset starts, because your previous elo will have an impact on your next placements

is that why you said above people are stuck in silver?

 

 

no, by impact I meant that when you start next season placements, you will be facing most likely silver1/gold5 players in your first games (because you are gold5 right now and some percentage of your MMR is saved). Also, your first placement games are the most important ones because you get a MMR boost, example: if you win 4 in a row and then lose 6 in a row you will get a better placement than losing 4 and then winning 6. Or at least it used to work like that, they might change the system this season tho

 

People that have over 500games and cant get out of silver are just stubborn to change what they are doing wrong, has nothing to do with placements at this point..
