Con Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Hi, Some of you know me, some of you don't. My names Connor, 19 and from Liverpool, UK. I have just signed up to the local gym (gymBug) and it's pretty sweet in there. I've been looking around the internet for different routines and diets and hopefully I'll find one to suit me soon. I'm not looking to become a monster bodybuilder or anything, just want to get a toned, gain muscle and have an overall better physique. I'm new to all of this and if anybody would be kinda enough to give any advice, it would be much appreciated. I'm not asking for a long-winded list of what I should and shouldn't do. If anyone has any tips or knowledge which would benefit me, I would be grateful. I am 5ft 11 and weight approximately 160lb. I will soon add my diet and other logs to this post to keep track of any progress. Thanks, Connor

If you read stuff online, surely you would have seen exercises and routines? We are not going to create your own personalized routine for you structured to your needs and wants.

I don't really mind how fat I currently am because it will change in time. I think I'll bulk first rather than cut. Any tips on bulking? Supplements, get some creatine, a multivit and maybe fish oil if u dont eat fish, that's about all i'd reccomend, anything else is a scam. Don't worry about 'foods you'll eat' .. a calorie is a calorie as far as your body is concerned in terms of body composition.. it's scientifically proven, don't follow the bullshit bodybuilding stigma of HURRR CHICKEN AND BROCCOLLI, HURR EAT EVERY 2 HOURS, because it's retarded, and proven scientifically to be no better, get enough micronutrients, fibre, protein.. and eat above maintenance.
ORP Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 I recommend myfitnesspal.com, get it in ur phone and count ur kcals if ur new, good doing on 1st bulk but after that u should know how much u need to eat to be allowed to make gains. But u should always use it when cutting

Thanks, I've use the link you have given and my calories per day are: Maintenance - 2426 / Fat loss - 1941 / Extreme fat loss - 1456 I'll try and work on maintaining the daily intake. Gonna do some research on good diets as I'm kicking the junk food/drinks. Thanks
