I really like the feel of it. I agree on the text though, I think it should be a lighter color maybe even just white. I'm not sure how skilled you are with the program you are using (Illustrator?) but I think the particle effects could compliment the badge even more if it was only above the badge and the badge looked to be disintegrating - if that makes sense. Sort of dust blowing in the wind so the shield is broken and cracking. Good base to work with though, keep up the good work.

edit around the shield so it doesnt look choppy, the name should stick out more and the text is too dark
