Devin Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Edit: Sorry lads, I made this guide last night after I had been drinking. It's not complete, but as soon as I get back on campus I'll make a full video guide. ---- Toy mouse: You get 15 exp if you catch it, and 15 exp if you fail catch it. If you catch it you have to release it again, so fail catching it is faster exp than actually catching it.---- I've been seeing a lot of people posting about training with toy mice, and it reminded me that I made a guide way back in the day about getting 0 agility, and training with toy mice allowing you to fail every time. Unfortunately the glitch was patched soon after I had made the guide, but luckily it's been brought back along with 07. In order to do this, you need to have at least 19 prayer. I'm only 11 prayer currently so I haven't tested it out again, but I know that the pot glitch still works, so I don't see why there would be a problem. I'll start off by explaining it in text. For starters you need to know what the pot glitch is. To test how it works, pot anything, so strength for example. Then with strength potted, every ~20 secs go to your pray book, turn rapid restore on then instantly turn it off. Doing this causes the timer to reset, so your strength pot won't go down. It also causes stats that are below their normal value to not go up, meaning if you have 1/99 strength and you double click rapid restore every ~20 secs it will stay 1/99. This also works for non-combat skills like agility. If you're someone who used summer pies, double clicking it will keep your agility boosted. But in this case we want to keep the skill drained not boosted, and it works in the same way. So now that you know what pot glitching is, the next thing we need to do is get your agility to 0. There may be an easier way to do it, but what I did was go to Brimhaven agility course and fail on the arrow trap constantly until it was zero, then while pot glitching I ran to Ardougne and went up a ladder to one of the houses until I got to the top in a very small room. I continued to pot glitch while clicking on the toy mice. It's very easy and simple to do, and once you get started it only gets easier. I hope this at least helps a few people out! Just for nostalgia, I'll post the pics that I took back when I was in 8th grade making this guide for the first time. Are you not entertained? I was told that there was to much text and I should add a tl;dr so here it is: Go to Brimhaven agility arena, get 0 agility from failing spike traps, after 0 agility turn rapid restore on and off every ~20 secs. Go to a small room, there are plenty upstairs in the houses of Ardougne, from there release your mice and spam click them. Make sure you turn rapid restore on and off every ~20 secs to keep your agility at 0, causing you to fail-catch the mice every time.
Devin Posted March 10, 2013 Author Posted March 10, 2013 Just let me know what you have a question about and I'll try to answer as best as I can.
Devin Posted March 10, 2013 Author Posted March 10, 2013 Saying you're confused really doesn't help much, what are you confused about?
Devin Posted March 10, 2013 Author Posted March 10, 2013 You get 15 exp if you catch it, and 15 exp if you fail catch it. If you catch it you have to release it again, so fail catching it is faster exp than actually catching it.

Amin Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 is it much more xp or basically the same Much more xp.
Creamie pies Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 good guide if you're not stupid and can read.
G l Rare Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 This is brilliant. I've known about the pot glitch from back in the day, was best way to train on main and save inv space instead of carrying 20 pots, although I didn't know about the mice trick at 0 agility. Question: Is this the best way to achieve 50k exp hour or can it still be done with 25 mice in a small room? (Only have 5k cash and 200 white berries which I'm using to get me the mice)
tehg0d Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Seems to work quite well, but at 0 agility I am still catching them every five or so tries.
Atomic Scale Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 So you can only do this at 40 less agility? Since you cant get 0 agility after that on brimhaven i guess Oo
i tauntz i Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Hmm not sure the effort is worth it as using more than one mouse wouldn't be much different xp gains
I Cream Maul Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 im a scrub at it im staying 40 agility for a while.
