If you don't know what the pen tool is in photoshop or how hard it is to use when starting off with don't bother trolling me, it is a difficult tool to use and i am trying to learn it to work on my own toon signatures, everything was done with pen tool first time i really use it.

Work in progress

That is actually  decent mate, adding ur character in after?

Looks okay, i know how hard it is to use this tool. One thing you should work on more are transitions, for example the water/wave looks a bit sketchy. Overall looks nice though.

I like the simplicity, some type would be nice

Yeah I noticed that after i uploaded it, but with a transaction like water i didn't know how to tackle it exactly, i know i need to transaction between shades and what not but the effect of depth of it is something i am going to work on.

Thanks mortuls

YES!!!!

Right, this is good for a start, lets keep it basic though. We have the background in its simplest form, from here you want to work on depth. Shadow, lighting and positioning.

Since the moon is in the center you've pretty much made your job easy as all the shadow will be facing south. Keep posting updates as you progress.

Also bottom skull is on the wrong layer or are you making it look half buried in the ground?

good work. I like how it's simple, yet still detailed. The moon and sky I liked especially, but the water could be slightly worked on. otherwise looks good!

Told you it would be tedious and aggravating

So many people want toons but hardly any understand the anger you go through creating them

Pen tool frustrates me lol. So props on getting that far. Looking forward to updates and finished product bro. Maybe try going with a jagged hair look? I know its overused but it might be the best option especially with that darn pen tool.
