How hard would it be for a 17yr old Felon to get a job?

Basically the title says it all, I play RS monotonously to keep me out of trouble.

The general idea on the felony is:

I was 14, and all coked out. and ended up pulling a .38 Cobra on a dealer to obv rob him.

It was broad day, and witnesses ended up calling the police and they find my prints on the gun.

I was sent to a Detention center and given a court date.

The court decided that i was too young to be Direct Filed (Get sent to county jail and/or prison), i ended up Going to a level 10 Maximum security facility. I ended up doing 36 months and here i am today. three years later. 17 years old and ready for a fresh start.

So, how hard would it be for me to get a job?

not to mention I have tattoos on my hands, arms, and neck.

AND a convicted felon.

wtf mane.

NOTE: in my state armed robbery (First degree felony) is a mandatory 5 years for anyone being tried as an adult.

god damn

luckily ur still young so employers know ur not an old dog stuck in ur ways, basically you can change, any employer will see that.

depends though really; have you got any talents or was u taught any thing in your time in security facility for example carpentry or IT databases.

other then that; it will tricky to find a job, someone who goes to high school and doesnt have a record will struggle w/o connections to an industry, so I'm guessing you will struggle to find a job too. that being said; it depends on determination, attitude, connections and willingness to learn.

Creamie pies

Not to mention if you have any tattoos that can be seen while wearing a normal outfit the american workforce is enforcing anti tattoos and can decline you from a job because of that, Most likely you can probably pick up a job off of craigslist but even they have requirements you have to have meet.

Unless your dad is like the owner of a major corporation i doubt you will get a job at a car dealership for example.. Although you will find it really easy to find a job at places like Mcdonalds or at a dock tossing sacks. There are loads of jobs that will hire you man it was a young foolish mistake.

Good luck, I'm sure you can find a job somewhere if you want it bad enough.

My younger friend is 14 and just discovering coke. I wish you could talk to him and show him why he should avoid that path.

Don't give up and RS is a great anti drug in moderation. :)

Getting a job in your situation is going to be hard but not impossible

A lot of people will turn you away due to criminal record, and thus may result you working in a corner shop (for the mean time)

assuming you have no qualifications (unless you did some in jail if they do that in usa) and you obz have no past job experience

#rule.1 take what you can get, you need experience 6+month in anything

#rule.2 Honesty is best policy, when they ask if u hav any pre convictions you have to tell the truth, dont try weasle out of it just explain u got into bit of a situation with bad people at young age which consequently resulted in such events. (butter it up, not saying lie I'm just saying make it sounds as good as you can)

Truth is retail wont accept you as your a liability to them, and fellow workers. But this as we know isn't the case, so if you can get urself in there and with a sob story to make them feel like giving you the chance, don't fuck it up.

Best of luck man but it will be a hard graft to get through and worth it in the end. Work from bottom up and if you're dedicated you will make it.

Or go into streaming competitive gaming and make bank off revenue although I wouldn't recommend that unless you can actually see it as a viable option.
