As obvious as that sounds, you need to think of something without her having to tell you. Something that you know your mother would love, without her having to actually tell you that specific thing. It means so much more when it isn't expected, if she tells you what she wants, it's expected...

Like delta says men don't do presents and it's the thought that counts not how much you spend or that she did/didn't know Also if you want to be nice and show that you love or appreciate someone it shouldn't take a certain day of the year to do so you can buy people gifts any time of the year and they will have the same effects or you can take them out whenever

If you wanna be nice and put effort it, make her a token book, and the tokens could be like "il do 1 hr of gardening" "il clean dishes for today" "il spend 1hr talking to you" etc
