Turm Spec Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Well, everyone knows now that battle staves are the way to go if you plan on alching, with minimal loss (usually 60- per alch, compared to 200 if you do yew longs). The only problem to this is - The GE limit is only 100 per 4 hours, so it's been very hard to just get them. I mean, you can get 100 a day from Zaff from completing the Varrock Achievement Diaries, and they sell for practically lowest in the GE everyday, but with a 100 limit, it's getting to be hard. Most of the time, you have to get friends who will buy them from you, or ask random people (who most of the time say no, because they think you won't pay them back). Maybe we could start a thread, where members of the forum and of FOE who are not currently training magic and have some extra cash in their bank could buy these battle staves for members who ARE alching. Don't worry, as you won't lose anything, because you'd just be buying about 100 at a time and we would be buying them from you for exactly what you paid for, maybe even more =]. Anyone think we should do this? Because only so many people will help you buy them on your friends list.....
B0wz|Mecca Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 i like this idea would be very helpful for the fa's who cant afford to lose alot of money on alching and need their mage up to obtain a full member status.
mr d stroy Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 could also make 100 and alch em, some good crafting xp :D
Turm Spec Posted October 16, 2009 Author Posted October 16, 2009 I know i can always buy some on my skiller to help out, since i'm not going on him for a bit. So, think i should actually make a thread about this, not just one seeing if anyone thinks it's a good idea?
Jacob|3 Q S Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Or just make some money and alch yew longs, stop being money hungry
Turm Spec Posted October 16, 2009 Author Posted October 16, 2009 Ummmmm, thanks for the constructive criticism bro. Maybe you can stop and think that everyone does not have the money for mage, and if they do, then they might not want to spend it??? Or, some people, like me, want to get mage up, but want to stretch their money as far as it goes (already have enough for 81 or so, but want 85 =P)
Rob|Flow Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 just do maple long bow (u) the idea blows. if you have 10 people buying them, you'lll still only get 1k.
Vlooieneuker Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 i support ps: im getting 90craft making these, ill trade 100 air bstaves for regular bstaves + gp ;o
0bx Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 WOW, This is a very good idea. I'm surprised no one has though of this sooner
Lamotrigine Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Better yet, When you're not planning on mage training buy some and stock pile until you're ready to alch.
E O H Shak Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 im contemplating getting 99 mage too but the most i could afford to lose per item is 90 gp per :/ otherwsie by the calculations i wont make it to 99 before i run out of money
Turm Spec Posted October 23, 2009 Author Posted October 23, 2009 Hee hee i won't really be needing this thread because i can now afford 94'ish mage with yew longs, but i am still considering this for the players on welfare really.
K1llin Ur As Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 just do maple long bow (u) the idea blows. if you have 10 people buying them, you'lll still only get 1k. That seems smarter
max lvlz x 4 Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 so that's why i always get a hundred :O i didn't knew that.
To Idolize Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 I think it's a great idea! It will help the poorer FA's meet some requirements as well as gain decent mage xp.
