I Pk 4 Usa Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Well since your chubby , your main goal right now is to cut that weight. just stay active and lay off junk foods do cardio 2-3 days a week and eat right. when you loose some lbs then worrie about your muscle gains.
A X 3 Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Wear proper gym clothing, no wife beaters. For losing weight split ur workouts 50/50 between cardio and lifting weights. If your skinny and have trouble gaining weight then just lift weights. Change your diet, eat anything in sight if ur skinny. Avoid fats/carbs if your trying to lose weight. IMO looking good is 80% nutrition 20%lifting+other Find a friend to workout with. Try new things. Wear proper gym clothing, no wife beaters. - It doesn't matter what you wear as long as it promotes full motion movement, I wear tank tops and muscle shirtsFor losing weight split ur workouts 50/50 between cardio and lifting weights. - NO If your skinny and have trouble gaining weight then just lift weights. - NO, you eat more and lift light with high repetitions til you're comfortable lifting heavier weight Change your diet, eat anything in sight if ur skinny. Avoid fats/carbs if your trying to lose weight. IMO looking good is 80% nutrition 20%lifting+other - You never want to avoid carbs as those are your primary source of energy. Fats you need and protein you need. You just lower the overall intake of all three. Find a friend to workout with. -Yes, having someone to spot is always good Try new things. -Sometimes works, it's better to do research on workouts before you do them, such as watch videos for proper form so you aren't injuring yourself Obviously no one would take out fats/carbs completely.. Most of what you said was logical so I assumed he would know, we'll I hoped he would be smart enough to know.

Wally1337 Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Don't take any supplements.... Since you mentioned you are chubby, don't focus on lifting weights because your fat will freeze and you will have to work out twice as much to lose it. My advice for a starter: 1) Focus on cardio 2) Change your eating habits (cut down on carbs and try not to eat before you sleep) + monitor calorie intake as stated above 3) DON'T CUT ON SUGAR, just reduce amount (ex: say you eat 4 donuts a week. eat 2 instead) < stupid example but trying to prove a point Just focus on the basics, don't strain or starve yourself because you will get health problems.
Average Joe Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 didnt read any1 elses comments but what helped me lose weight was simple as this. take what u eat eat half of it, water only, 1st month cardio only. tha\n start adding resistance training along with cardio.

Everything u said was fucking stupid.. fat freezing? what? lifting weights burns calories, increases metabolic rate slightly, strengthens nervous system.. fat is burnt on a caloric deficit, burning calories from lifting weights increases the deficit and the activity level of a person.. how is that gonna slow down fat loss u absolute mug? I lost 50lbs in 3 months, run at me. Not eating before sleep is broscience.. again.. fat is burnt from a caloric deficit, your body needs energy to run, if it doesnt have the energy via calories, it'll use fat, energy is not a 24hr thing, it's over a long timescale, so time of day makes absolutely no difference. The only thing you said which had any slight intelligence was that he doesnt have to completely cut 'sugar' .. but that's the case for any food, you can eat what you want, so long as it fits your macronutrient/micronutrient/caloric needs.
