Josh|0MEGA Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 (edited) I'm not sure how many ex-tlp who are in FOE now or read our forums but just thought I would give them a shout out after I found out they were closing earlier this week. I wouldn't normally acknowledge another clan in this sense but I think looking back on things through the years they deserve one. TLP has been the closest to FOE clan wise in the pure world not only because of the close connection we had a long time ago but also their leaders have generally been respectable people, friendly and tried to do the things the right way. The perfect example of this is hiei the pk one of their founders, for some reason he always fought to the death with no real reason to - you just won't find pkers like him today. I was around in 06 when FOE and TLP were scrapping along with MM to be the #1 clan in the pure world, we had massive fights week in week out and all were pulling around the same numbers. That was until MM decided it was a good idea to go and get a rune pure clan Valhalla to come and crash their fights and help out every single time they were losing - at this point in time "crashing" or teaming was pretty much unheard of. This led to the first and only pure alliance I can think of between FOE and TLP to help each other against the pure + mains of MM and VH. At times MM + Vh teaming got so bad we ended up having completely joint trips, which for me are very fond memories. Since then we have had many great fights and some arguments but I would just like to say thank you to TLP for all the great times they gave FOE and me! Edited July 17, 2013 by Josh|0MEGA

The TLP preps were unbelievable they showed you the quality we actually had. I love all those guys and will miss some of them but i'm still going to keep in touch with the wolf pack. Grifte Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 yh fights against TLP in P2P wild/cw were great, quality and opts. Surprisingly (or not) they were also really good at F2P matched opts, although we barely fought them in the wild. MM vs Foe was all the hype up, the endless battle between the two greats, but full of crashers/ddossers and trips full of running and logging, both sides alike. TLP was more no-nonsense, just fight, loot and go, was good. In RS atleast, dunno about the Battlescape / 07 part.

One of the true meanings of Quality over Quantity. Pretty sad to see an old clan die. One less in the pure community I'm sure the majority will stick together and open up a small clan in the future but untill then i hope to wish you all the best of fun in whatever clan you decide to join. At the end of the day we should be happy the pure community is still semi-alive.
