it wont really be successful however it will stop a lot of people from accessing everyday things i mean how many people do you think could use vpns etc also if they do allow porn to be blocked what else will also be blocked? forums,social networking,news?  

 

its fucking retarded that they say they will allow things such as written pornograhy however any videos would be blocked also things like page 3 would also be unblocked i don't understand how written is any less than video porn in fact i would say written porn could even be worse then video form as you have no real limits to what you could write in term of your imagination however you are limited to what you are able to have in video form and the fact they are saying its to protect kids from pedos if fucking straight up bullshit tbh i mean all they would have to do is opt in to allowing this stuff from their isp so it doesnt do shit

Think about it, adults will just call up to unblock and children are far far smarter nowadays than they ever were about the internet. 15 20 30 years ago when the internet was not a source of poirn for teens they traded porn magazines(playboy, victoria catalouge etc) so nothing will change.

 

Also expect internet prices to go up, if the gov't really will demand ISP's to block all porn its going to be very costly for all of them to track down all it. But they won't. Because then theres the dark side of the internet which David Cameron has never ever even mentioned, because he either a) has no clue, which is likely or b) knows they can do nothing about, which is funny, because that's where all the child porn etc is. It's not going to be found on google!

he could easily have things like tor also blocked vpns block etc it would make it 100x harder to get and also put prices sky high for things like vpns also this whole thing isn't really about porn its about censorship of the internet/freedom of speech if they block porn (for kids safety!) what will they block next violent tv shows/games/websites? 

 

if you look at the company they are planning to use to implement this firewall they already have software for sale that does this exact thing and the default blocks are fucking stupid it block social networking,dating websites,forum chats all as default blocks that you have to turn off 

 

also would you really want to be put onto a list that says you opt into allowing porn? think of what could happen to certain people this data gets leaked people would be blackmailed etc have their lives ruined and jobs lost because of this think of what's happening atm with the nsa in america that would basically be what would happen in the uk but you would be more likely to be singled out because your on a list somewhere
