Pk_5quirrel Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 I hear that purecommunity are making their own client to play rs in, personally i'm sticking with Swiftkit but is anybody considering changing over? My Opinion about it: Its daft idea to compete with swiftkit as its been out for years. Just a big waste of time for the people making it =o What do you people think?

Turm Spec Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Since i'm a Mac user, the only client i can really use is the Web-Based "Tiko" (from Draynor). In my experiences with it, i think Draynor did a great job with it, because they pretty much now have all Mac users who wish y=to use clients.

I used SwiftKit for 2 years before I changed to mIRC and runescape client/browser, I find it so much better. Only two things bother me. PrintScreens, and sometimes there is lag on browser. But runescape client fixes that.
Annihilatinq Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 Yehp, PC is in the process of making the BETA client. It'll be based for pures/rune pure-tanks. It'll offer alot of stuff Swiftkit doesn't, mainly for pures though. I don't know if I'll switch over to it when it comes out and all the bugs are fixed, it all depends on if i like what the final product is and how smoothly it runs.

Sefket Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 So far we have the following implemented : Log in System - Must be registered on Pure Community to access the Client. Ventrilo/TeamSpeak implemented. Media Player (Shows movies and music) - You'll have great room to watch the movie while training or pking. We are implementing a IRC with mIRC inside of it so nearly the same exact thing as mIRC. We got a lot of stuff coming, and planning to release it by next year.
To Idolize Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 I used to use Swiftkit till I decided I didn't use the things as much so I got the RS client. I'm thinking of going back to Swiftkit though.
