Good with computers?

Made some bnak this summer and I'm ready to treat myself. I'm looking to spend some dough on a really great desktop setup.

Err information... I'm down to spend between $1,000 & $2,500 or so... As far as the desktop goes, I don't play any super demanding games but I would like to have the ability to. I'm thinking at least a quad processor and I want to get a secondary SSD mostly for the operating system. For monitors I want at least a double, maybe a triple monitor set up.. I don't know what else I really need or want, but if somebody could help me out with a place to order this and/or has any advice on what to get and not to get...

I've scoped out ibuypower newegg and tigerdirect a bit.

Commence nerds, lay some knowledge on me

no need for 3 monitor setup unless u play fps games. 2 is fine. quad core is good and you just need good graphics card nvidia is fine. make sure you have input for dual monitor too. give me an example of some games you think about playing and i can be more detailed

Bought a customized laptop from the dell website.

Got like all the good features for gaming and bought a 2 year warranty.

Warranty is expired but the laptop is still tanking it for almost 4 years

well honestly lol an HP desktop can do the job fine lol. http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c03639067&prodSeriesId=5330773

graphics card can be upgraded easily if needed

Always build your own desktop, it's cheaper and easier also go for the best motherboards/cpu/graphic cards in stock and if you can't afford the best ones you decrease by a level which doesn't make a big difference.

Good luck
