Today is the transfer deadline day for the Barclay Premier League, for all you football/soccer fans any ideas on who is going where?

£502 million has been spent so far and is more than likely going to increase.

Are arsenal gonna spend big? - linked with Mesut Ozil

Man united going to get Felaini or Baines?

Discuss :)

Arsenal need some players! were looking at a few I doubt they will get though ..

ye, good win yesterday but still need some players from the looks of thing. £42.5m bid made for Ozil so we will see how that goes, also Di Maria is linked and something about Abel Hernandez from Palermo.

Latest reports are Ozil wants to stay at Madrid.. Would be interested if Man Utd go in for him.

Although it looks more likely that they're going to get Herrera from Bilbao, I don't rate Fellaini as champions league standard...

Moyes doesn't seem to be a fan of Kagawa and PSG are being linked with him.. If he goes Utd will need a new creative midfielder.

Liverpool look like they're going to be busy already signed 2 people.

Some players definitely going to be moving from Queens Park Rangers, since they got relegated to Championship. Julio Cesar amongst them.

ye, me being a Man Utd fan i would love to see Ozil at Utd but if not then we should play kagawa because he is that type of playmaker that will get the goals and assists. Moyes is doing my nut in recently, first off not playing Kagawa and now he says we played the best football he has seen from us at Liverpool, we were fking dreadful.

They just had not cutting edge in midfield although they dominated the second half, Kaka wouldn't of been a bad signing as someone to have for a season - especially as AC Milan signed him on a free transfer this morning.

The way United play they play a 4-4-2 and play it on the wings. They can't change this as they have arguably 2 of the best forwards in the world with Rooney and Van Persie.

                de gea

rafael     vidic ferd      evra

valencia carrick clev young

                 rooney

             van persie

Cleverly is an above average premier league midfielder and would walk into most teams midfields but he hasn't got much about him apart from that.

I feel fellaini is partly the same but with a much more cutting edge.

You've got to remember the CAM doesn't fit into this formation as it's Rooney's position basically, which I don't like him in- he's too good for himself which is a problem as he can play anywhere he wants. I still see Rooney's biggest threat as a goalscorer. Although he'll play for the team.

The only way a CAM can fit into that formation is if you change it into a diamond but then the midfield is exposed as carrick is on his own..

                de gea

rafael     vidic ferd      evra

              carrick

valencia                 young

              kagawa

    van persie rooney

This is why Chelsea have problems as they basically have Oscar, Hazard, Mata, De Bruyne who don't track back.

The benefit at chelsea is they play 1 striker so they have Ramires/Lampard/Essien/Mikel sitting in front of the defenders as carrick would do in that formation for united.

Rooney tracks back and so does Valencia so that formation can work for united. Also note that Fellaini said his best position was sitting in front of the defence and going forward instead of playing the CAM role like Moyes played him at Everton. In that sense he would be a good signing as United need a box to box midfielder if they're going to play 4-4-2 as they traditionally do.

"Arsenal have agreed a 50m euros deal with Real Madrid to sign Germany midfielder Mesut Ozil.

"The 24-year-old has agreed personal terms and will now undergo a medical.

"The medical will take place in Germany, where Ozil is on international duty."

Been following live all day from silly season (Sweden)

Fellaini is said to be presented later tonight (8pm or so)

Mesut ozil is said to be taking his medical tests right now

so glad Kaka is back home! Im so hoping he'll do good

Sakho, Demichelis, Arnautovic decent transfers

Im hoping Tottenham will buy Hulk, some rumours says they're ready to active the clausul

As an utd fan I've kind of given up the hope of Baines I'm interested in see if we can scrap Mata though. Rooney rumours r also gonna b good.

I just love transfer deadline day :-)

Looking back at last season and the few games of this season I think it'd be dumb not to start Welbeck, he's been fantastic and been causing so much threat offensive.

Although I do agree Rooney is a player to be started but in the end of last season he was put behind Rvp and welbeck and did a great job there both defensive and offensive.

in my book Cleverly is a no go and so is Giggs and with these 2 gone there should defo be space for Kagawa and hopefully Fellaini aswel.

It's up to Moyes but I'm under the impression he wants to use the sides alot more than Fergie did, he's been eager to put Young, Valencia and Nani into play.

Rafeal had an amazing last season and I can't wait til he gets back into play again but Jones is a player to be started NO DOUBT ABOUT IT! Even fergie said he's one of the best player he has ever seen.

Use the sides more than Fergie?

Look at the wingers Fergie had, his teams were built to play out wide and put balls in the box.

they have the same wingers only Moyes use them more???

I don't think you get what I meant. Fergies teams were based off wingers even more so than Moyes' teams.

Welbeck has an amazing work rate but he can't finish for shit. Rooney was amazing last year as an attacking mid. If you watched the game sunday you can see why. Cleverly/Giggs should be squad players but that won't open a lot of space for Kagawa. Fellaini should be played as a defensive mid if we got him. By the way Jones sprained his ankle pretty bad.

They both have very similar strategies and I think you're mistaking 2008 Manchester United for 2013 Manchester United.
