Exercise Headache??

Recommended Posts

Anyone ever suffered from them?

I was recently doing legs, pumping out the last few reps on Leg Press and i got this sharp pain in the top of my neck which shot into my head behind both my temples, and my head started painfully throbbing (like 10x worse than a migraine). I had to sit down for like 15 mins before i could even walk home. I then had a migraine, but not as bad, for the rest of the evening.

Took a day off and went back to the gym to do Back day and it happened again after 2 sets, i then got a headache for the rest of the day after that aswell...

Apparently it is a common problem and taking a week off is meant to make it go away, but i was just wondering if anyone has had this problem before and any tips to share?

Yeah this used to happened to me. (pretty sure i made a thread about it somewhere)

and no one helped, people just said breathe, drink water etc, which didnt help.

no matter what i done it didnt help. I had to take about a month off and would always be worried about it due to the pain

it got to the point where even masterbating triggered it.

All i can recommend is rest. Dunno what it was but never found  a direct cure. Just time off which sucks

sounds like you are putting to much pressure on your body try some resistance training for a stronger body than continue with your weights or it may be that you are bending your neck to much when you are exercising keep your posture straight. if thats doesnt help speak to a doctor

this used to happen to me but not during working out.. Maybe it was due to playing lots of video games back in the day. I know your pain. I had it where it'd come randomly for 5 minutes and it'd be so sharp i'd wanna blow my head off.. I had to lay down and put pressure on my head it hurt so bad man. Haven't had that happen to me in years now. I don't know any remedy just live and let be i suppose man.

It's triggered from sudden blood pressure change in your body, Doing leg press meaning your body is inclined which is causing most of your blood going down to your head.

Masturbating triggers the pain too because sudden movement of blood occurs during.

My only logical cure that I came up with is you should practice hand stand, or any exercise that has your head down and causing blood to go there, But be slow and calm about it don't rush it :)

After all this is a just a runescape forum no one here is a doctor or knows anything, but that's just my logical thinking of a solution :P

Could be one of many things, go see a doctor bro.  Wouldn't take any suggestions or advice seriously from here.

Tension headaches, overactive occipital nerve, exercise head aches, weight lifters head ache, the list can go on...

ts really awkward that you made a topic about this ...

I have been having the same exact fucking problem. Everynight/every other night when I am about to fuck my girlfriend and when I go to fuck her doggy style I get a bad ache in my neck area and then I have a really bad migrane for the rest of the night. I just took like 4 advils and slept. I was wondering what is wrong with me like I might have some sort of brain/neck/spinal problem but I guess it happens to a lot of people from my research on the internet
