Do I have to switch training schedules once in a while or else my muscles won't grow or something (got told by a friend)

Example;

Month 1; monday- wednesday - Friday -> chest bicep

Tuesday- thursday- saturday -> back tricep shoulder

Month 2; monday- wednesday - Friday -> bicep tricep shoulder

Tuesday- thursday- saturday -> back chest

Hope this example is good enough ;P

Your friend is correct, you should switch routines every now and then (3 months ish), so your body doesnt adapt.

Your muscles wont stop growing however, but gains are less significant.

You're a moron. Your muscle doesn't have a clue what exercise you're doing, or in what order, all it knows is that it's put under stress, the only way your muscle has to adapt to stress is to grow stronger and bigger..  no, your muscles won't 'adapt' lol. The only time your muscles are going to need to 'adapt' is from increasing volume/frequency.. I.E if you started training a body part 3x a week, when previously you'd trained it 2x.. at first you'd probably get DOMS and your gains would take a while to actualise[you may be weaker some workouts until you are used to that frequency] but this has nothing to do with routine or split ordering.. You could do 12 sets of chest, using the same exercises.. and make gains forever so long as you were using a progressive overload scheme. If your gains are stalling, up the weight and keep using that weight and you'll get stronger.. if you're not getting stronger, you're not eating enough, or you're not sleeping enough[this is over exaggerated a lot IMO] or you have AIDS related AIDS cancer.

W0t armani u dont train stomach legs or shoulders? Wotf? or lower back? Side abs?

Pls Chris

Tuesday- thursday- saturday -> back tricep shoulder

Month 2; monday- wednesday - Friday -> bicep tricep shoulder

I've played football (no soccer fu americans) for about 6 years so legs ain't really needed imo. I include lower back into back training & usually do abs before going to bed when I feel like it.

Arms one day then legs the next. Every time I work out I do so until I cannot possibly do more reps. So the one day cool down gives your body a chance to recover.

Other than that you should be okay. No need to change routine unless you find one that's better suiting to you.

Don't forget to protein up :)

Dog has said what  needs to be said.

I feel people become too caught up in this or that routine, there's no such thing as a 'perfect' or ideal routine.  Sure you can optimize a hypertrophy workout you find online but how does that routine work for you.   Try a variety of training programs and see what one you enjoy and which one works for you.  If there's no entertainment factor or enjoyment for you in your routine then it's most likely your gym consistency and dedication wont last long.

There's people that rock up to my gym four-five days who will do 10-12 sets of squats or deads and leave.  They're still fucking huge.  Same goes for cross-fitters,  people may laugh and judge them for doing cross fit but the cunts who I've seen do it are functionally strong and jacked.

It all comes down to your goals and wants and personal preference.  If you want that fitness model/body builder physique then by all means follow a split suited for that.  If you want functional strength look towards cross fit or something similar.  If you want to be one of those guys who lifts heavy ass compounds then look into strength training programs.

Basically answered by others already...

To add a note though, I prefer to pick a plan/routine & stick to it.

Some people usually change routines/exercises every month or so, so they don't get bored of repeating same thing over and over (obviously though you change your routine if you get injured or w/e).

motivation>effort>consistency

I think he's referring to a plateau, but yeah anyways you don't have to change your routine just a few exercises in that case
