A X 3 Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Good move by snapchat as long as they keep up and don't get bullied out of what they do
TJ Posted November 15, 2013 Author Posted November 15, 2013 Good move by snapchat as long as they keep up and don't get bullied out of what they dothey don't make anything right now as it is. Maybe a little with ads.

Maybe a little with ads. Hopefully they can expand into something more than what they do now but I'm always in favor of several competitors in any market category. That way innovation can be desired to be the best and most efficient
Motif Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 (edited) they probably have some secret ideas "Could Snapchat ever be worth MORE THAN US$3 billion? Of course it could. Snapchat is one of the fastest growing digital services in history. In only two years, it has amassed a user base of tens of millions of people who use it to send hundreds of millions of messages per day. It also has a powerful network effect: If you want to communicate with people on Snapchat, you have to use Snapchat. And it has many obvious avenues for eventual monetization. (Advertisements, for example. Or add-on services like those sold by the Japanese messaging company Line. And many others. As we pointed out in our “FUTURE OF DIGITAL” deck, attention is monetizable. And Snapchat has plenty of attention). There is a lot of precedent for companies like Snapchat that initially have “no revenue” going on to be worth tens or hundreds of billions of dollars in relatively short order. And Snapchat is actually growing faster than any of those companies." Edited November 15, 2013 by Motif

mlaK Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 silly thing to say no to, facebook could easily implement snapchats functions into one of their programs like instagram, rendering snapchat useless
k or as i Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 #YOLO I WOULDA TOOK THE 3B AND SPENT IT ALL ON RSyou can buy jagged with that money
Henrik Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 It could be worth more, but they might not get another offer of 3B from Facebook. If things don't go as planned they might have to settle for something less than that. Hard to say really.
