About 40 percent of the Rs community online at any given time is Old School Users if Mark Gerhard wasn't such a fucking idiot he'd focus more recourses on the game in the first place and we wouldn't be dealing with this problem in the first place.

pretty sure he is just a name now the company is mostly owned by shareholders which stops him making game changing decisions anything major they want to add/remove etc has to be agreed by them first that's what happens when you see it out is blow up in your face

Jagex isn't publicly owned...

Lately, some poeple have been quitting and thinking the game is worthless because it's "dead". People are also thinking that the game is dying out and will soon be nothing.

It's depressing to hear about how this game is dying and the wilderness is dead and so on, but I beleive and others do to that, the game is going to do just the opposite.

Yes, the game started at release three times as active and more popular than it is as of today but we have to realize we control the faith of this game. What kind of gamer would not want to play a game where they get to choose what and what is not in it? Eventually the idiots at Jagex will understand and realize the thirst for this game and will invest more recourses and time into it. Statistically the game hit "rock bottom" in late september but ever since then it has been a steady but slow increase. Perfectly honest, I think we are one update away from making this game work and work perfectly. We need F2P. This brings low level items into the game and keeps the economy flowing and hopefully breeds new pures and pkers. That's how I see it

Opinions?

You're not wrong, but there would not be the F2P slave force needed to stimulate the economy. With it only being allowed to members the only people willingly going to F2P would be to PK and such. Whereas any new people who want to play the game would start F2P in EOC. Quite the predicament.

pretty sure they are over 60% owned by some american company tho thats how they basically don't get to do what they want anymore without approval they would still have a board of directors or some shit to go through before allowing major updates basically why all the bullshit micro transactions came about was to satisfy these people

I've tried to buy their stock. They're not not public. And they have no existing transactions of managed investments.

Meaning no one else owns them. They are the reason the game sucks now. They just HAD to bring out eoc...

Perfectly honest if they made F2P and people botted hard and made those free to play Items, it would stimulate the economy and I don't have and issue with that that's how its gunna be and I have accepted that and also some players would try the game out for sure or even attract some even more old players and resulting in more pkers and more runescape addicts. Nobody quits runescape you always comeback

i quit I'm never gonna come back

Here's my take on it.

Rs3 is their main focus, nobody is gonna play a game with outdated graphics like 2007scape.

Jagex's best option would be put 2007scape back to 2012 graphics, although they would lose some die hard rs players.

The game will die in 2014, it's inevitable.

MM just closed.

I'll bet that there is a topic in leaderboards about closing as well.

Without Clanning this game is fuck all.
