Zijn er geen exotische landen waar je heen kan? Om de ekte cultuurshock mee te maken, Engeland is zo om de hoek.

Some Asian/North-American partneruniversities, but nothing exotic. And yeah my dad lived a few years in England and travelled the UK alot, I'd always wanted to live there some months to experience it myself.

Lijkt mij toch aantrekkelijker om een half jaartje in Kuala Lumpur o.i.d. te vertoeven en een beetje te reizen.

Ehh, Hong Kong, Tokio, Seoul of Sydney lijken mij exotisch zat.

i live in manchester and go to bham uni, both cities are the two biggest student cities in the UK and I think that's important to full experience student life...

HOWEVER, leeds has a sick night life too, so i'd say either leeds or manchester. if manchester lets go get drunk ;D

@Craig, what makes Leeds shit?

its not that bad anymore but it used to be really rough, i just dont know how a foreigner would like it. there are still some areas to avoid tho, but most of it these days is not that bad.

its also not that far from liverpool/manchester by bus/train if youre wanting football

massive shopping areas, good nights, loads of students

Manchester is your best bet, been my 2nd home city for a few years now, gotta say as much as I love London, I could easily see myself settling down over there.

Got two siblings who go to the university there as well, its very well respected (of course depends on your course).

Alright, thanks. Well in Holland I live in Rotterdam, the roughest city in Holland. Highest crime-rates, immigrants etc. But doesn't sound that bad.

Yeh the 'abroad coördinator' said level-wise Manchester would be my best bet. Still abit unsure about the city though, but to be honest haven't done enough research about Manchester.

Think it's probably going to be Manchester or Leeds, Exeter just too far away from everything else, as nice as the city may be (&landscape).
