when you walk to the middle of that bridge with a certain amount of weight you fall through it into the lava which spawns you on the other side.

The lurer makes sure you drop your items in that spot for a prize reward. Then he tells you to pick the up right as he places his hellcat down which makes the victim click "pick up cat", which the victim isn't able to do causing his character to side step into the middle of the bridge. Once there he doesn't have enough time to make it back to his items and the lurers pick up the items.
