Paroxy Pure Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I just want to start up a kind of conversation, seeing what everything thinks will happen to Old Schools rs, and then ultimately RS in general!Personally, I think that if Jagex doesn't start bigging up OSRS, then it's going to slowly ebb into a couple of diehard fans, then vanish completely as it's not profitable... although this wouldn't make a difference on main RS, as they are all for advertising the EOCscape, which will bring in a new generation of players, who have only played with the EOC...Any different/similar ideas?
Pixel Pigeon Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 [Eop]Dude will take over and turn it into a better place
I_DyLaN_I Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 probobly head down the road to pre-eoc again thus AGAIN ruining the game
I_DyLaN_I Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 They will introduce f2p and it will get bigger. i hope so
Bjorn Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 They only need G.E We don't need GE. That's not part of Old School, at all.
Brenden Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 They only need G.E We don't need GE. That's not part of Old School, at all. http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Grand_Exchange Are you sure about that? The Grand Exchange also refers to the location of this trading system, which is an official marketplace northwest of Varrock city. It was released on 26 November 2007and has since replaced the older marketplaces in Varrock and Falador cities.
cody Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 lol its not gonna die it has three developers and rs3 brought in over 50m profits in 2012 who the fuck knows what it is for 2013 cuz it hasnt been reported yet but its probably high because people love to pay for treasure hunter(sof) and runecoins. they're doing it right for a business perspective

But they care more about money than the quality of the game.

Grand Exchange ruined the way Runescape used to be in many ways. It was one of the things that ruined how Runescape is supposed to be.

Let everyone get maxed 2595 total by buying keys so everyone completes the game and then when it dies we dont feel like our lives were totally wasted l000l0ll0 cuz atleast we completed the game h3h3h3h idk lol moneys money and a free web browser game making 50m in a year it's probably doubled or tripled now with all the new items that've been released.
TJ Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 Love u to breh xD And I agree, what they're doing is great from a financial standpoint. But the game has enough going on to become heavily popular again. Advertising campaigns are a must with this game... They have to advertise both osrs and rs3 (as there are oldschoolers out there who don't know about 07 servers. But would love to come back to it.) If they play their cards right they could compete with LoL easy. But its gagex... We all know they despise being wrong.
Cj. Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 not sure, i think introducing free f2p would bring in the most people... :/
Paroxy Pure Posted April 14, 2014 Author Posted April 14, 2014 I can see what you mean about the GE... It would make it a lot easier to trade, but then it brings out the whole interaction that Old School has, and would make it a lot easier for bots... F2P is a great idea for increasing numbers of people to 07, as then loads of people can just give it a go and I'm pretty sure a lot of people would like to see the 'simpler' side to Runescape, if I may flippantly call it so...
Coreee Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 I personally think OSRS will live on for a while, I definitely think G.E is a good idea with having to buy a lot of supplies, other then that if they don't mess with the game too much it'll go good.
