Just wanted to say that you are gone but not forgotten. To everyone that knew Aidan, you will remember a very special spirit who captivated everyone around him. Regardless of personality or culture everyone wanted to be around this guy, he was simply a magnet in a teamspeak channel. I can safely say that you were taken from us too young, and even when I was detached from RS you were not far out of memory. 

 

I was debating how best to commemorate such a special individual. I am extremely proud to say that my finance professor has agreed to use the proceeds from our bond portfolio over the past two fiscal years ($5,117) to match donations to a charitable initiative in memory of Aidan. I realize this is not much in the scheme of things, but I believe it would mean the world to his family to know that there are so many individuals who care about their son. 

 

The specifics are far from locked down, and I am in contact with Aidan's mother in discussion of which charitable initiatives best represent this unique quirky, sarcastic and beautiful person's soul...

 

Essentially, I am initiating a campaign, with intentions of raising and donating $5,000 (10,000 after sponsorship) to a charity that best preserves the memory of Aidan. There is no pressure to donate, but there is certainly a notion of showing Aidan's family (who were hilariously over-exposed to our little community here) that we have a lot of love for late clan-member and friend.

 

There are a lot of logistics to lock down, and there will be a more encompassing post in the near future detailing this. I will say, whether you knew Purely or not, he embodied everything that was great about runescape and clans. He unified groups across cultures, always bringing comedy and enjoyment to the game. You couldn't possibly be bored when Aidan was talking to you. He was simply awesome, he would shoot the shit in TS and cut some one-liners if you were his oldest friend or a new applicant. I know this forum is primarily dedicated to an outdated game, but some things transcend that... My true aspiration here is an iconic gesture to show Aidan's family exactly how widespread his impact on this world was. I know he touched my life, and though I never had the pleasure of meeting him in person, I have years of good times to reflect upon. The day that Aidan and Brady|I Xo Xo I rejoined FOE was the day it felt like home again. This plan is still a bit half-baked but it is a noble gesture for a truly worthy individual.

He died in April 2013. He died in a fire at his house with his Mom , Dad, little brother, and little brother's friend who was sleeping over. I could find the article if you're interested.
