Im trying to make just a basic sig for myself and I've seen around some sigs that have lines made by the pen tool

but they have a glow effect and look like smooth neons. I have no idea how to get it like that and dont really know how to use the pentool its self, can someone just quickly explain how to make them smooth glowing lines or link something?

Thanks  :unsure2:

I just use the pen tool and then in Photoshop make it into a line then use the outer glow/inner glow options.

Not bad at all, should have added some nice neon text on the path line. Good job. :)

HAHA, Im proud of myself :D

Got the animation working and managed to pop on my name

Im not sure how to get the text fading over the whole animation on the line, if you look my text fades in then the animation starts.

How do I make it so they start at the same time, so it runs smoothly

+ is it possible to sorta cut the edges off of the sig, so its got curved corners

Duplicate layer

Gaussian blur duplicate 2.0

Set to linear dodge/screen

voila!

Draw the path, right click > stroke path, check "simulate pressure"

make sure you have a soft edged brush and in brush options change the spacing to 0%, then double click the layer and add an outer glow.
