my mom works a junior high school. this is an email she sent to me.

During studyhall, I complimented a student (Blake Strait) on his keeping up with writing in his journal.  I told Blake to make sure to keep his journal because journals are nice to read back on.  I told Blake that I still have my journal from middle school.

"Boy that journal must be old," Blake said.

"Yeah, I guess it is," Hetzel said quietly (starting to feel quite a bit older).

Twelve year-old Blake than asks, "How old are you Ms. Hetzel?"

"I'm 42 Blake," said Old Lady Hetzel.

"Wow. You don't look 42," added now favorite student Strait.

"Well, THANK YOU, Blake," replied Young Lady Hetzel (gently touching Blake on the shoulder and immediately feeling young again).

"You look fifty."

(Everything went black after this and no one has seen Blake since.)
