DeltaPapa Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 The ref was atrocious. The freekick, the brazil players reached the ball before James even kicked it. Cesar should be sent off The foul onto Hulk and then Neymar (which ref didnt see) 4 yellows and 0 reds? Rofl......... joke.
Fred Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 He was intimidated by the sheer numbers of brazilian fans i'm pretty sure, he didn't want to book brazil first and ended up missing about 5 yellows, then when he did start booking he booked things not nearly as dangerous/offensive as some of the earlier fouls... Woken up still feeling cheated, imagine how the players feel
Dave (Cha0s) Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Good funny article http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_spot/2014/07/03/world_cup_player_introductions_a_deep_analysis_of_how_soccer_players_fold.html Pretty good mate
Its zeh noob Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 (edited) The ref was atrocious. The freekick, the brazil players reached the ball before James even kicked it. Cesar should be sent off The foul onto Hulk and then Neymar (which ref didnt see) 4 yellows and 0 reds? Rofl......... joke. Penalty and a yellow card was good enough. David Luiz would've had the ball after the Columbian attacker dribbled/shot the ball too far away. But yea, the ref should've given more yellow cards in the start of the match to keep it from escalating. (Neymar) And lol @ the grasshopper Edited July 5, 2014 by Its zeh noob
Fred Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 na cesar shouldn't have been sent off, he wasn't the last man. fernandhino or whatever his name is should've had about 4 yellows it was ridiculous
DeltaPapa Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 (edited) Look at how high his legs were lol, he was never going to get that ball, and always going to get the man From FIFAs guidelines about red (doesnt need to be all of them) 1.- Distance to goal, clearly he was very close. 2.- Likelihood of keeping control, don't think he would have kept control as a defender was already there. 3.- Direction of play, clearly towards goal. 4.- Location and number of defenders, again I feel like a defender was already there and ready to take the ball. 5.- Where the offense leads to a direct free kick or indirect? not sure I get where that is important but this was a penalty. Fred Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Either way I feel Colombia were cheated out of their spot quite hard, just through poor refereeing. Both teams played really badly for the majority tbh... Colombias final 20 minutes was absolutely amazing though
Bjorn Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Belgium was pretty close just before the end of the match.
