Sad news.

Hopefully this conflict gets resolved soon but I can see it becoming ww3

I was thinking that tbf. Especially if, no offense, the Americans are going to start involving themselves. We will see what's going to happen and if the people who did it will admit they did it.

It isn't on a ww3 level at all. I don't think another world war would ever be a good idea at this point in time... for anyone.

Obviously not, but there are always some crazy people around who think it's the best thing to do. Even leaders of specific countries.

Its zeh noob

Really sad, leaning towards the rebels having done it.. they deny having these types of missiles but a surface-to-air missile was just seen outside a revel stronghold like a week ago :S

Id also agree if i didn't see that the Russians shot down another aircraft on Wednesday i believe, the one nobody gives a shit about because it was a Ukraine Cargo plane.

Either way tense as fuck

Russians also shot down a Ukrainian fighter jet early today or yesterday...

However, I think that Russia, as a country, are no where near stupid enough to shoot down an international commercial jetliner. You're looking at double figure citizens from a bunch of countries (obviously Holland and U.S. offhand), and there is just no way they are going to instigate that many countries simultaneously. It had to be guerrilla warfare or the repercussions for a country would be fucking dire. That being said it COULD BE a pro-Russian or pro-Ukrainian guerrilla group, but national army of either? Sincerely doubt it, just too many repercussions. Look at the Iranian commercial plane we shot down in '88... there's just too much bullshit that comes with it, countries are too smart nowadays.

I don't believe anyone would intentionally shoot down a commerical jetliner, most probably a fault of operation.

It was shot down.

Also WW3 would be stupid for any country to even contemplate, the type of weaponry that countries have nowadays could end the human race, the only two nuclear weapons ever used in combat were used in Nagasaki/Hiroshima and hopefully they'll never be used again.

The only reason we used them back then, was because we knew no one else had them. Now though... Everyone and. Their dog has them. They've become almost irrelevant. As if they're only real purpose was to help stop we2.

Based on blog posts and stuff seems the rebels shot it down thinking it was a military plane. Really, really, really big fuck up, and how they procured the weapons could condemn Russia. Holland, U.S., and the U.K. have already spoken out. Also international officials not being let in speaks to a cover up. Yeah, it is quite a cluster fuck.
