Heismberg Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 (edited) Looking to buy a mac book, budget is around £1100/$1600 Since there's so many versions, does anyone know where I can find one of the best/most reliable ones for the price stated above (cheaper would be sweet as well) Gonna be using for Uni/After Uni so one that's strong on performance and long lasting would be awesome Thanks! Dazzled Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 (edited) Yeh... U never buy a macbook. None of them are reliable, they're all shit. The specs are low. For that price you can buy a decent computer/laptop.. You're better off looking for a Windows 8 laptop and downgrading to Windows 7 until Win 10 comes out. You'll get like AMD A10/Intel i7 With 8-16GB Ram, atleast 2Gb Dedicated graphics and 1080p screen res for that price. Edited January 18, 2015 by Dazzled

My bro bought one 2 years ago hes still fine w/ it, windows seems inferior to macs for everything non-gaming related. I'll be using it mainly for studies+watching stoof that's probably worth considering. Edit: a long battery life would be sweet, would a windows laptop suffice? From previous experience their battery life sucks Edited January 18, 2015 by Heismberg

Coggy Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 If you want it for gaming, no don't get a Macbook. That said, for school a Macbook is a good purchase.
