Pacha Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I'm going over to Thailand for a month during the summer backpacking with a mate and wanted to know if anyone has been before what they would suggest ? Flying in and out of Bangkok so was thinking of starting in the north before going south, hoping to see some wild life, natural beauty and have a dab in the culture

Triko Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Ive been in Thailand in the beginning of the high season (mid november) last year, was a blast. Ive also backpacked with 2 mates and have visited some really nice places. Stayed in bangkok the first few days to recuperate from the long ass flight. Nightlife in bankok is crazy but ive enjoyed it there the least from my trip to thailand From there we went to Krabi with the plane 2k km's south of Bangkok. Stayed there for about 10days, got some really nice places to visit, tigertemple, emerald pool, hot spring waterfalls and lots of crazy islands. Went to phuckket after that for 1day, bungeejumped there for the first time in my life, packed city with tourists and beachsluts, had a great time but we had to leave since the fullmoon party @ KO phangang (party island) was about to start the day after. Took the ferry to Ko Phangang and celebrated my mates birthday at that island, will never forget that 3 nighter From there we ve pretty much had enough of all the travelling, took the ferry to Surathani stayed there for a night and flew back to bangkok. Ended our trip there. One of the nicest trips ive had, and definitelly suggest to visit lots of cities instead of camping @ one.

Fred Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 ive been. south is more touristy, north was hit by earthquakes BADLY about 7 months ago so some areas arent amazing to travel too as poverty+earthquake = long recuuperation time if you dont go diving in koh tao you've missed out, koh samui amd koh phangan are amazin too
