d72 Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 After sitting at home on my ass and getting bored of playing the same old games I thought I'd enlighten myself by playing another of the same old games I used to play. So yeah, I'm starting to play RS again just for fun. Old School of course. (By the way it shows only 2 years since playing because I logged on a while ago to show a friend my dank ass account). It's my understanding that the game's changed drastically of course since I played it like 4 years ago, so I guess I have a few questions to ask you guys before I dive back into it.Does anybody have any tips or anything for me? Also what's a decent way of making money? I understand that I can't transfer my cash from my eoc account which is fucking stupid but hey, it keeps it fair I guess. Also what/where's the best place to train stats now? Especially as f2p, not gonna dive into p2p just yet.I'm actually pretty excited about this. Don't judge me.

Train to like 50ish str and 40ish ranged and then buy p2p Also start off by walking to varrock dummies and hitting the dummies for a free 7 attack levels! Edited April 28, 2015 by orbi

You trade them goldon EoC, then hop to osrs and collect from their other account. But, the trade rate is kind of high. When I did it, it was 10:1. So 50m EoC gets you 5m 07. But, its probably dropped a bit now.

I've been trying to find a solid spot to grab low lvls in F2P; I tried the security dungeon but the amount of xp/hr plus the amount of people in it really sucks.

I've been trying to find a solid spot to grab low lvls in F2P; I tried the security dungeon but the amount of xp/hr plus the amount of people in it really sucks. Yeah it can be a pain. I did 15-40 range and 40 strength there on the minotaurs, it wasn't usually very packed, but I did need to hop on occasion. I did 1-50 mage with fire strikes at lesser demons on karamja. Its safe spotable and the exp is REALLY quick, id recommend that for f2p. I did this first so I had quite a head start on my HP when training melee/range Are you still on the 24 hour timer? If you need supplies I can give you some. Just let me know.

Mage I'm thinking of just sticking to body splashes, I remember hitting 85 mage that way on the other RS pretty easily. As for supplies I transferred enough funds to get me 2m which is more than enough for now considering how cheap some of the stuff is on the GE. d72 Posted April 30, 2015 Author Posted April 30, 2015 So after a couple of days this is what I'm dealing with, combat lvl 36. My original goal was to get 50 mage dead on and then go full melee for a while but I have enough runes to get me a few more mage lvls, so I figured I'd use them. Now I'm thinking I might crunch out the requirements and do DT right away at lvl 36. Anybody down to help?
