20 def is more beneficial in clanning, where as 1 def is sexy. You should get maxed out first then think about getting def.

25 def or bad

It depends how you see 25 def as a pro for clanning because for weekend trips you are better off on a level 80~ as you are less likely to get sniped by mains (depending on wilderness level but) But for preps def + prayer is always an advantage plus you're less likely to get piled as a higher combat.
