Luke Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Nate made some choices as the game went downhill that were more about his personal enjoyment than well-being of the clan.. He also helped us with a lot of good press and pking for FOE PK Vids.. It was mutually beneficial until it wasn't. End of the day, he did what he found fun in the game, which was make vids, and got involved with machinima and all that. He attempted come backs and due to lost respect rank teams really did not treat him as an influential person, because at that point he wasn't. At the same time, coming back as a founder of a clan you expect a certain degree of inherent respect. Essentially, leadership treated him like any other old school member coming back, and he expected to be treated as a major voice plotting clan direction and all that. And members expect that a bit too, because it's a founder returning. Basically perceived disrespect from his end, and perceived abandonment from our end, all created the situation we're in now. My personal stance, Nate is a good dude and someone I've always been friendly with (except when he spammed my facebook wall with "I LOVE RUNESCAPE"), and I would love to catch up, but I would expect him to be an iconic figure in FOE at best, not a decision maker or advice giver. From his point of view, I'm sure there's not a huge motivation to put in effort in regaining his influence, as he feels a bit forced out. It is what it is, but the doors are open.

1 Item Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 He was a great guy and he genuinely loved this clan and put a lot of effort into it. Unfortunately it was not enough. He was always a good pker and always had good wealth. He came and went and was always welcome in foe. Then he started videoing his pking and got some notice and followers. He always adapted his accounts to any RS updates so he had an account perfect for pking on with the new things, BH craters, Any new weapons or pvp armour, then turmoil and so on. This was exciting and new and captivated the audience. He also got top editors to do his vids so that they stood out as something incredible. Soon he became youtube famous and that is when Foe's Founder died. He chose to pursue fame and eventually fortune from donations and ads. He only came around foe forums and interacted with members when he wanted something. Wanted to use somebodys acc to vid a certain style of video, wanted members to watch and support his videos. He stopped coming home to help and support foe. He never released Foe vids or advertised Foe to his supporters. Foe slowly lost respect for him as a sell out. He didnt acknowledge this at first and kept coming back to Foe and trying to use its members for his own gain relying on the fact he should be given respect and worshiped as this clans founder. He thought he could come back and have a say in the running of the clan he then cared so little about. When he was told how the members and ranks and clan felt he was not happy. He sold a sob story and tried to become a victim to get attention. This led to him being heavily trolled and laughed at as he was now essentially a laughing stock. This is where the term, "bonesaw please will you sign my climbing boots" came from. We rarely saw him again after that only for the few fake promises he would give us of his return and dedication to FOE. Even after all of that the door was always open and will always remain open for the true Bonesaw, Nate... the actual founder of FOE to come home and be a part one day. Whether he will take it and earn I doubt but it is there. And that children is the story of Bonesaw Pk Without this clan he is nothing honestly. well said walli, I just was reading through this and was always wondering the full story.
TJ Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Nate's a good guy at heart. But at the end of the day you have to figure out what's more important to you; he chose youtube. He gave us the clan, the reputation and prestige. And when he left we took it from there. Have talked to him a few times in thw last couple of years. And from the sounds of it he's got too much bad blood here, for him to feel comfortable returning. That's not to say that he could prove himself again. Start promoting FOE again, making FOE videos/streams. That would be huge. But it's really not in his interest, he's got a lot going on. Either way, all we can do at this point is speculate. FOE pride, world-wide
