No, but I had an old lady offer me some once in a place in Southern China.

 

Nice mate, I am planning on going there next year. Where abouts did you go?

Quite a few places, but I spent a bulk of my time in Northern Yunnan, one of the provinces in China (SW). It's still the size of several Englands though.

plan well, during July and August every train is booked for a while. Also make sure you research well beforehand, I speak fluent mandarin but even with that sometimes things were difficult when locals only spoke their dialect.
