SkidooosH Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 As title says, does anyone know what kind of burnable dvd i need and the steps to put multiple videos into a file that can burn onto one? it would be awesome. if you want to know why, i have a treadmill in my basement with a TV. but there's no cable or satellite on it, so i want to download anime and watch it on a dvd player so i won't get mad bored. i tried hooking my laptop up to my tv, but i guess it doesn work on a tube tv lols
watch me tb Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 lulwut.shut your mouth u stupid fuck. what i did was just put a blank cd in thecomputer, and open the file and go into media player and select burn. u might have to change the file from mp4 to .mov go to download.com and get a converter. an easier way. i think is to get a portable hard drive, make a partition, make it a fat32 file, save all your movies to that partition, and then plug the portable hard drive into your xbox. it will let you play them then.
SkidooosH Posted December 4, 2009 Author Posted December 4, 2009 oh dam, do you have a step by step guide for that? i have a portable hard drive but couldn't figure out how to do it
watch me tb Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 this is probably best guide i found on how to partition a hard drive. it works just the same for a portable one. put it in and select it. only at 1:56 when he leaves it NTFS, switch it to fat32. xbox can only read fat. then once that is done put you put the movies into the partition and save them. then connect your portable hard drive to your xbox and go to movies and click portable device. http://www.llamma.com/xbox360/mods/USB%20Hard%20Drive%20Mod.htm also a good guide.
katalyst Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Uh if you want a program that burns DVD's check out www.warez-bb.org register there and what not. It's a place to get pirated software but i'm sure you can find a DVD ripper and burner/converter.
Sinz|Unspeaking Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 I prefer ConvertX to DVD for burning. It automatically converts the video and burns it to a disc with 1 click. Also DVD-R discs will do just fine.

SkidooosH Posted December 6, 2009 Author Posted December 6, 2009 unfortunately, it didn't work.. im not sure why, i partitioned a fat32 portion of my external, then put in a video and hooked it up, but where it says "portable device" on my xbox doesnt light up. i wonder if it's something to do with my external hard drive since it's got like built in fire walls or something (i think?) anyways i tried streaming files from my computer to my xbox, it did show my fight club but it wasnt the right format. so i tried using a youtube video file downloader then converting it using an xbox video converter and putting it into my video files, but it didnt appear on my xbox =/
watch me tb Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 damn...if its fat 32 it should work... wut kinda hd is it?
watch me tb Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 idk why it wouldnt... mine is seagate 320gb. double check make sure its fat32, cuz if its not it wont recognize it
SkidooosH Posted December 6, 2009 Author Posted December 6, 2009 does ur seagate use a power supply to a wall outlet?
watch me tb Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 does ur seagate use a power supply to a wall outlet?nope just usb.
SkidooosH Posted December 7, 2009 Author Posted December 7, 2009 i think it's cuz mine plugs into the wall for power. the xbox site said that if you plug a usb into ur xbox and it's drawing too much power or something it will disable the usb slot, might just buy like a 16GB flash drive or something
