Granite Mauls Overpowered?

Does anyone else feel that the G Maul special is way overpowered; or just lame in general? Specifically, around level 70 in PvP, Maulers with 50 Attack can have upwards of 95 Strength, allowing them to hit upwards of 35, according to Tip.It's Max Hit Calculator. Amidst 3 simultaneous attacks, Maulers can in essence hit beyond 100, which although is unlikely, isn't uncommon to hit 80s on 1 Def. Personally, I find the weapon extremely gay and my most hated weapon in PvP. No other weapon comes anywhere near it's damage potential at my level, and I always avoid fights with any sort of G Maulers.

On top of being overpowered in my opinion, users frequently 'Spec and Run', because they literally have no chance of a KO after their Spec is used. I'm seldom lucky enough to survive maul specs, even if I eat when they pull it to beyond 60 HP, and it just adds to the mediocrity of the user when they run after missing. Please bear in mind that I am an experienced PKer, so most of the blame is not held to me and/or lack of PKing skills in general; it's aimed toward the Maul.

I'm done ranting. Does anyone else hate this weapon? Please note, this is not meant to provoke flaming in any manner, however I am open to honest comments.

Well sorry I didn't predict your omniscient and arrogant belief. If you didn't notice, a revived system of PvP came out, making it a new problem. Sorry that you haven't caught on yet.

If anything it's less of a problem then it was in old wildy seeing as it's almost impossible to pj now, and how is what i said arrogant, i've been using mauls since the day they came out, don't assume you have any idea what your talking about, because you don't.

When Mauls first came out around 2004 - 2005. You could hit the same number like... 35 35 35 thats when they was overpowerd. if you watch old vid's of people using them. Runescape have changed them alot since them they are not overpowerd anymore. Sorry if i did spelling mistakes..

I remember when whips and g mauls came out...

there was a glitch that allowed you to use the spec an infinite number of times, and the whips spec was to hit max or nothing.

Claws has been put down in power.

It use to rip defence up so hard, but now it regularly fails specs, and Granite mauls are like 180K, not 28M.

For Granite mauls price, it's over powered IMO, Dragon Claws are worth there price.

Gmauls aren't overpowerd, it's just that they are 'super effective' vs a pure. You don't need atk to hit on 1-20def, thats why all the maul pures rip through other pures with their high str low atk. Theyre only usefull vs other pures, on rune their specs miss way to often and after that they have no means of fighting back(melee wise).

Bottom line: They own at their own turf (low lvl pure vs low lvl pure) but besides that can't put up a real fight.

Get your atk and hp up and fight more mains, problem solved ^_^

No, they arent overpowered.You have one spec to ko someone and if that spec fails you have nothing else. Unlike DDS where you have 4 specs.
